What made you decide to build a bamboo bike?

Sports and principaly cycling is a part of my life. I like build things and I’m looking after the planet so it was a great and complete project. It’s different. And it’s very motivating to ride your own bicycle furthermore is a green material.

Did you enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and would you recommend the experience?

Yes of course. I like DIY. Building your bicycle you’re learning lots of new things or knowledges. It’s very accurate so should be very patient.

What did you find most difficult about your bike build?

To my mind the most difficult tasks are the details, for example the right position of the rear brake, space for the wheel, and to have a perfect symetri. The finition is very tricky, because it’s the last step and you need spend time to have beautiful shape.

What was the easiest part of the build?

selec and Cut of the bamboo and put everything in place.

How would you describe the ride of your finished bike? It’s unique because if you did everything on it, it’s wonderful. You build your own prototype. The ride is different and very smooth. It’s as rigid as well as on a carbon frame.
